A moment in our story.
Re:String presented its debut concert, Aubade: From the Top, at Esplanade Recital Studio on 4 December 2023. The concert marked the first edition of our biennial flagship series.
The programme brought together film music, anime themes, Mandopop and pop favourites. Highlights included a Disney Aladdin Medley featuring Arabian Nights, Friend Like Me and A Whole New World; a mashup of Cao Cao and The Lonely Warrior; and an Attack on Titan Medley. Other pieces included Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence and I Will Survive.
The concert also featured guest performances and a joint performance of Inaka-bushi Imbroglio, composed by Yudai Hatanaka. A joint encore of Fly Me to the Moon brought the evening to a close.
