Solace 2023

Fundraising/Collaboration concert

A moment in our story.

Re:String performed at Solace 2023, a fundraising concert jointly organised by NTU Piano Ensemble and Project Gift of Song, at Ngee Ann Kongsi Theatre @ Wild Rice on 28 October 2023.

Our programme featured two pieces: a Coco Medley that included Remember Me, and a medley of Homura and Tanjiro no Uta from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The evening paired musical performances with youth volunteers’ reflections on grief and loss, encouraging conversations about end-of-life matters.

Re:String was among the youth and alumni arts groups taking part. In total, 86 performers, stage crew and volunteers helped bring the concert to an audience of 320.

The concert raised S$65,086 for Ambulance Wish Singapore, a charity that helps people with terminal illnesses fulfil their final wishes. Solace 2023 was later recognised with NTU’s 2024 CoLab4Good Award for Service to Society.
